Procedure for collection of sample:

The collection/transportation device provided by Confirm BioSciences is meant for the dual purpose of providing sufficient sample size and providing an easy and efficient means to transport the sample to the laboratory for analysis.

** Warning – do not use this product for children under the age of 3 or for donors with increased risk of swallowing.

1. Hold the device at the rim of the suspended insert and remove the stopper. This is easier if you slightly push it to the side when opening the suspended insert.

2. Now remove the swab.

3. Gently chew the swab for at least 1 minute. Keep the swab in your mouth until you feel that you can no longer prevent yourself from swallowing the saliva produced.

4. Return the saturated swab to the suspended insert and close the device firmly with the stopper.

5. Wrap the bar code, peeled off from the chain of custody form, up one side, over the top and down the other side of the device. This officially “seals” the sample.
